Identification help please.

Postby C18H27NO3contagious » Sat Feb 25, 2017 1:39 pm

Any ideas on what this may be? I haven't tryed it for heat yet as I wanted to let it ripen a bit first. The majority of the pods look the same with a couple of cube shaped ones also about the same size. Cross between a Capsicum and a Scorpian maybe ;)

Hi,
looks to me to be Scotch bonnet or Jamaican gold strain?
Have a google and see what you think. Also post a pic again when ripe.

Yea thanks for your thoughts. Only one has changed colour to a nice partial yellow. I tried a green one that had no heat. The yellow a bit of heat but not much. Taste was ok. I was hoping for better as I've had a rat shit crop this year compared with last years bumper one. I'm glad I was able to freeze and dry a ton of them. The frozen ones are still really good even after 12 months in the deep freeze.

I just found this and if you don't already have it might be of some use, https://www.chileplants.com/pepper-plants.aspx
